CGS and the inspired vision of its second generation of musicians
The Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis (CESTA) at Stanford University welcomes the legendary folk ensemble Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino (CGS) for a special two-day residency in May 2026.
Performing for the first time at Stanford University, CGS will commorate their 50th Anniversary with a new concert program, Il Mito, and an immersive small-group workshop on Pizzica Tarantata - the unique style of estatic music and dance that communicates the rich cultural heritage of the people of Salento and has garnered CGS their international fame.
